The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large SRD amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The company level made for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
